Carfax Tower

Only the tower remains of the church of St Martin and is now owned by the City Council where members of the public can climb to the top for views of the city. A ring of five was recast into six by Richard Keene of Woodstock in 1676 probably under the instruction of the then Rector, Richard Duckworth, author of the earliest ringing book Tintinnalogia.
